honestly the only way to get ''good'' is to keep playing.But some simple notes:When in a building move slowly and check those cornersDon't know if you do this already, but don't listen to music when playing that way you can hear foot steps and voices. And also use Dead Silence so you dont hear yours.
Keep moving.
Don't stop in the middle of an area surrounded by people. Choose your guns and perks wisely. Don't be scared of any level 55, expecially gold cross. Silencers are GOOD.
dont get snipedwatch out for gernade festkill people with high pitch voiceswhen people arent looking its fun by throwing c4 or knifing them

1. Play, play and play some more. Dont get frustrated with your K/D ratio in comparison to others. Some people simply have a faster trigger finger or better reflexes.2. Find a gun or maybe 2 that fit your play style. If you like to run and gun, the M16 or G3 are not your friend. Go with a M4, AK47, P90or MP5. Likewise, if you are more of the tactical type, then by all means go with a M16 or a Sniper Rifle.3. Learn the maps from all spawns and angles. Learn the choke points and where the best cover spots are.4. Play with your friends. CoD 4 is at its best when you have 5 or 6 of your buddies with you. Plus use the Party chat system so that you dont have to listen to the singing 10 year old or the wanna-be 50 Cent talking crap!!5. As soon as you get them, use Dead Silence, UAV Jammer, 3 Frags or Slight of Hand. They are all great perks. Not that you can use all of them at once, but you should have atleast one of them equipped.6. Just have fun! Your skill will increase.

Just keep playing, every game has a learning curve, just find what fits youWatchout out for jugger noobs. (people who use juggernaut)

you will get better as you gain more experience with the game
Cod 4 is one of the easiest game online to play just use the M16 and u'll get alot of kills but warning people mite call u a newb
1. Know the maps, first.
2. Crouch A LOT. Do not just run around everywhere, people will hear you.
3. Use UAV Jammer in Hardcore Modes, Stopping Power in normal modes.
4. Your small map in the upper right corner - watch it like a hawk, looking out for red dots. I glance at mine every couple seconds.
5. ALWAYS be mindful of your crosshairs - point them in the right direction. Do not just aimlessly run around, no matter where you look, always make sure your crosshairs are aimed up and at the most likely place for an enemy to pop up - in the door way you're about to enter, at the top or bottom of the stairs you're on, etc.
you should really keep playing to get better, but i have some tips:1.don't always sprint. when moving through close quarters, walk so that you will have the gun up and ready to unload on him.2. change postitions. when you kill someone, they will often check the kill cam to see were you killed them from. they will usually go back to that location, so move to a diffrent location to kill them when they go back to your original location.

play dree for all, for some reason its much easer then the others. Also camp, find a good spot to camp in and wait, this is very useful when you get the 2 claymore perk, find a room block 2 of the entrences find a spot to camp and watch 2 unlucky people die.
Don't die... but on a more serious note I regularly use Stopping Power on my guns. Stay mobile unless you're sniping or you're really good at camping. If you're not doing very good use the M16 with Stopping Power. If you're playing with friends use Last Stand because only a friend would probably save you.

i throught you could not revive people in last stance in call of duty 4. You can only do that in world at war and the name is changed to 2nd chance. well anyway i have gotten a lot of kills in that mode

My bad, it's been a while since I played 4 and my friends always want to play WaW. In the absence of Last Stand I suggest Deep Impact so you can get people hiding behind thicker objects. Thanks for catching me on that EmperorZeruel.

i actualy realy like last stand lots of time they have droped their guard thinking they killed me and guess what they die with me. i think he should still use it and if he realy wants to be cheep we all know what 3rd perk he should use
