Does GTA IV run better uninstalled?

I've heard this a lot and I was wonderng how you guys find it. I've also heard that it seems to put a bigger strain on your harddrive because I've heard that the game is done similar to Halo 3 in that it's optimized to load off the disc.I haven't tried it but it'd be nice to get an answer, I think I might just keep playing it uninstalled since it played perfectly before but I want to make sure.Does GTA IV run better uninstalled?
I've had it installed on my HDD for about 2 months now with no problems and I usually play it daily.Does GTA IV run better uninstalled?
My friend told me he tend to get a bit more lag in online, do you notice it or is that just bad hosts
I never get lag, it has to just be bad hosts.
I noticed that if you have it installed, there is a lot more graphical pop in.

The load times are much better and I think the frame rate held up better too.
Halo 3 problems were because of the way it saved video and stuff to the HDD. GTA IV doesn't do any of that, it just loads off the disc. Loading off HDD is faster than any part of the disc. The pop in is more noticeable because it doesn't ''fade'' in, it ''pops'' in.Also, the game is constantly streaming off the disc, you're better off installing because it strains the DVD drive less.
Its better installed for me.
Alright, I guess I'll give it a shot installed then
