Im actually contemplating the purchase of this game. Ill have to play the demo first of course.Shadow Complex: 12 min walkthrough
I'm thinking about buying this game but I just want to know if you can keep playing and roaming around after you've beaten the game because I hear its somewhat freeroam. I'm hoping they put in dungeon-like areas which are optional but you can get stuff like items or better guns or something after you go through them.
Not sure, you can free roam, when you get stuff you unlock the ability to reach new places even if you don't have to. If you want to just follow the game then on easier difficulties it has a line showing where to go. Also, when you finish your first play through you carry on your characters level to the next playthrough, if that means you keep the later weapons (not sure, I would doubt it) then you could essentially free roam from the start of a second playthrough.
Is this like Castlevania SOTN meets gears of war?

No it takes alot after Super Metroid so I expect the ending to feature a daring escape from the about to explode facility, but during the game like Metoid you can roam at your leisure but you cant get to alot of places without upgrades, so there's alot of back and forth. ^ I don't see any inspiration from Gears of War in this game, if anything it would be more like Contra when it comes to shooting.
Definitely buying this as soon as its available.
This game would be a must buy at higher than $15. At $15, though, it's a no-brainer steal. Best arcade game ever!
The game looks great. Hope to have enough money for its release date.
This game is Xbox360 Metroid for me IMO and im gonna buy it so badly :)
that looked pretty damn fun actually, might have to pick this one up, gonna play the demo first never the less
Thats looks like a lot of fun. If i can rustle up some MS points then this is a definite purchase.

Contra was more of a run n' gun game. This doesn't seem like that, you can use different tactics and manipulate the environment to take down enemies. I'm interested to see how the other bosses play out.
No game will ever touch Super Metroid, only Nintendo is capable of that :P

actually, if you watch the interview at 1up you can see some gameplay from the last parts of the game, and by then, it sure is gun's blazin.
Can't wait, the walkthrough was awesome.
